Gisele Bunschen |
"My
husband cannot f***ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I
can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."
Fact is NY Giants beat New England Patriots 21-17 because
they played better and poked another hole in the chin of Tom Brady. Now, Patriot teammates are blaming the
supermodel, Gisele, for violating a "code of brotherhood" by airing
her grievances in public.
Football players (and basketball and baseball players) get
paid pretty well in tens of millions of dollars. That is perfectly all right
because these are a few select athletes, numbering only a few hundreds, in a
country of 300 million people.
When you compare this to 45,000 lawyers coming out of the U.S.
law schools each year, it is perfectly fine that these elite athletes get paid
in ten and million of dollars, whatever the market can afford. However, it is
not OK, if they don’t perform on the field as required. It they drop those
balls and lose the game, they are deeply accountable for losing that game and associated outrage.
How would they feel if the players were only paid for the
actual amount of time they play in the game but for rest of the time only get
minimum wage? You can bet, anybody who drops a ball will be out of the game and
will end up broke. Therefore, these football players need to come to their
senses and look at their lousy performance for losing the game.
Most people feel the way Gisele Bunschen feels about losing that
game and she is absolutely correct:
"My husband cannot f***ing
throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they
dropped the ball so many times."
Besides, Gisele comes from a country, Brazil,
where games are taken very seriously. In some countries, if you play lousy and
lose the game, you can lose your balls or life. The U.S.
football players are abundantly paid and are spoiled. They should stop crying
and take responsibility for their lousy performance too.
