Sultan Kosen, 29, from Turkey
is world’s tallest men at 8 feet, 3 inches. For the last three years in a row he has been named the
world's tallest living man by Guinness World Records. He appear to have
grown one inch taller each year.
His unusual growth is a result of a tumor in his pituitary
gland. That tumor is not cancerous or hereditary but it produced excess growth
hormones.
In 2010, he went under radiosurgery at the University of
Virginia Medical Center. Recently, it was announced that finally Sultan’s height
has stabilized as his tumor has stopped growing as well as the overproduction
of growth hormone.
