National Chocolate Cake Day is not necessary

I was a bit amused to learn that January 27 is named National Chocolate Cake Day. I have never seen a chocolate lover refusing to eat chocolate because it is not a special day. Bottom line is chocolate lovers can easily be called chocolate addicts and they simply can’t limit eating chocolate to one special day.

Nevertheless, it is not a national public holiday for everyone to rest and indulge in chocolate. I also wonder about how it got started.

Apparently, a fellow named Dr. James Baker got this going. Dr. Baker is responsible for bringing chocolate cake into existence. In 1764, he developed a way to make chocolate by grinding the cocoa beans between two giant millstones. Cocoa powder was born, and with it came infinite baking and eating possibilities. Since then, people have been on experimental mission and, now, imagination is the limit of how many ways chocolate can be consumed. Of course, eating chocolate cake is the ultimate satisfaction for chocolate lovers.

Fact is chocolate lovers don’t need a special reason. For them any time is chocolate time and, when it comes to chocolate, Every Day is a Holiday.
