Starbucks is opening its first Evolution Fresh juice store in
Bellevue, Wash.
The store is an extension of Starbucks’ $30 million purchase of Evolution Fresh
Inc., of California. Evolution
Fresh was founded by Jimmy Rosenberg after he sold his previous company, the Naked
Juice.
Starbucks claims Evolution Fresh has an advantage over other
juice brands because it uses high-pressure pasteurization instead of heating
which
is likely to maintain a higher nutritional quality. In addition to juice, Evolution
Fresh shops will offer soups, salads, wraps and other vegetarian options.
Eventually, Starbucks plans to sell Evolution Fresh juice
through its Starbucks coffee stores.
A number of people think Starbucks sucks because of it
already outrageously high prices. If you are one of those who don’t feel ripped
off by Starbucks and still have something left in your wallet, by all means
visit Evolution Fresh. Starbucks is waiting to extract left over juice from
your wallet.
